È ripartita l’attività nelle scuole di Pontevecchio Bologna. Centinaia di ore di sport gratuito per i bambini del nostro territorio, formazione e competenze al servizio della comunità, da sempre con il supporto di Regione Emilia Romagna sul progetto SportEducando, e da quest’anno anche in una cornice internazionale data dal progetto europeo APPLE.

Ne parliamo con Michele Bazzi, GM di PV Bologna e Project Manager APPLE.

Cos’è il progetto APPLE?

È un progetto europeo a guida italiana da parte di Polisportiva Lazio. Con noi ci sono partner prestigiosi come Olympiakos, LEVSKI Sofia, Stella Rossa Belgrado, HASK Mladost, Aalborg e Feyenoord, con il supporto tecnico di EPSI – European Platform for Sport Innovation. 

APPLE significa APproaching to a sPorty and healthy LifestylE. È un progetto Erasmus+ Sport, finanziato dall’Unione Europea, che prevede varie attività. Per prima cosa 5 dei nostri coaches hanno preso parte a un programma di formazione internazionale seguendo webinar di docenti statunitensi ed europei. La seconda fase prevede di applicare i programmi nelle scuole. Infine è previsto un evento aperto al pubblico in cui raccontare e documentare quanto fatto: inviteremo insegnanti e istituzioni, per un confronto sincero con il mondo dello sport.

Perché Pontevecchio Bologna ha scelto di aderire a EMCA e al progetto APPLE?

Ciò che trovo più importante nel far parte dell’associazione europea delle Polisportive EMCA è lo scambio culturale: abbiamo imparato che fuori dai nostri confini la funzione educativa dello sport è molto più valorizzata che da noi nei rapporti con le istituzioni e con le realtà economiche, ma che alla base di tutto – come per noi – c’è la voglia di lasciare valore nelle strutture sportive gestite e soprattutto nelle future generazioni.

Cosa farà PV Bologna nelle scuole?

Oltre al progetto APPLE e ad altre iniziative di promozione di varie discipline sportive, già avviate, porteremo avanti il progetto Multisport Educando: se sommiamo tutto, 4 scuole primarie del nostro territorio, per un totale di 51 classi, hanno a disposizione prove gratuite di 6 tra le nostre discipline gestite dai nostri istruttori specializzati. Un’opportunità unica per oltre 1000 bambini. Siamo molto felici di poterlo fare, perché il valore principale di PV è l’educazione attraverso lo sport. Queste lezioni sono partite il 15 Novembre e finiranno a marzo 2022. È anche una sorta di ritorno alla vita, dopo 2 anni in cui – a causa della pandemia – i bambini hanno avuto molto meno sport organizzato del necessario.

Quali sport sono coinvolti?

In rigoroso ordine alfabetico i bimbi proveranno l’atletica leggera (che come PV Bologna promuoviamo anche attraverso il progetto StraBologna Scuole di cui siamo partner con UISP Bologna), basket, calcio, ginnastica ritmica, scherma e volley. Insomma, un bel mix di sport di squadra e individuali, di sport closed e open skills!

Pontevecchio Bologna restarts its promotional activity in schools. Hundreds of hours of free sport for children of Bologna, training and skills put at community’s service, always with Emilia Romagna region support and – brand new for 2021 – an international horizon granted by the European APPLE project.

Let’s talk about it with Michele Bazzi, GM of PV Bologna and APPLE Project Manager.

What is the APPLE project?

It is an Italian-led European project, guided by Polisportiva Lazio. Many prestigious partners joined us, such as Olympiakos, LEVSKI Sofia, Stella Rossa Belgrade, HASK Mladost, Aalborg and Feyenoord, with the technical support of EPSI – European Platform for Sport Innovation.

APPLE stands for APproaching to a sPorty and healthy LifestylE. It is an Erasmus + Sport project, funded by the European Union, which includes various activities. 
First step: 5 of our best coaches took part in an international training program, following webinars from US and European teachers. 
Second step: PV Bologna will apply the developed programs in schools. 
Finally, an event open to the public will spread and document what has been done: teachers and institutions will be invited for a sincere confrontation with the world of sport.

Why did Pontevecchio Bologna choose to join EMCA and the APPLE project?

What I find most important in being part of the European Association of Sports Clubs EMCA is cultural exchange: we have learned that outside our borders the educational function of sport is much more valued than in Italy, in particular in regard to institutions and economic realities, but behind us and them there’s the desire to leave value in managed sports facilities and for future generations.

What will PV Bologna do in schools?

In addition to the APPLE project and other initiatives to promote various sports disciplines already launched, we will do multisport: four primary schools in our area for a total of 51 classes will experience free trials of six of our disciplines managed by our specialized instructors. A unique opportunity for over 1000 children. We are very happy to be able to do this, because the main value of PV Bologna is education through sport. These lessons started on November 15th and will end in March 2022. It is also a kind of return to life for our children, after 2 years in which – due to the pandemic – they have had much less organized sport than necessary.

What sports are involved?

In strict alphabetical order, the children will try athletics (which we also promote through the “StraBologna Scuole” project in partnership with UISP Bologna), basketball, football, rhythmic gymnastics, fencing and volleyball. Briefly, a nice mix of team and individual sports, of closed sports and open skills!
